About Unblock Puzzle

Slide the blocking pieces aside and guide the target block to the right-hand exit.

Unblock Puzzle is a sliding-block logic game on a six-by-six board. Horizontal pieces move only left or right; vertical pieces move only up or down. Pieces cannot overlap or cross the walls. Clear a route for the golden target A, then slide it completely through the exit on the right of row three.

Choose from 30 original fixed layouts: 10 each in Easy, Medium, and Hard. Every layout is solvable, and breadth-first search checks its exact minimum move count. The displayed minimum and hint route use the same legal slide rules as the game. One completed slide of one piece counts as one move, even if it travels several cells. Automatic saves keep the current layout, move history, completed levels, and your best move count for each level.

How to play

Drag a piece along its own axis into available space. Rearrange the blockers until the target block can slide to the right-hand exit. Try to finish in fewer slides. Undo backs up one slide, Restart restores the initial layout, and Hint shows a legal next move toward a solution.

Controls

Drag a block with the mouse or a finger along its groove. Keyboard players can tab to a block and use its axis-aligned arrow keys to move one cell. Shift plus an arrow slides to the farthest free position. Undo reverses up to 20 slides. Hint displays the next move on a checked shortest route from your current board. Use the level menu to choose a puzzle; Restart restores that layout after confirmation.

Tips

Find the pieces directly blocking the exit lane, then work backward to the spaces they need. A move away from the exit can open a useful route. Compare your best move count with the solver-checked minimum after completing a level.

Questions about Unblock Puzzle

Can a block rotate or move sideways?

No. Horizontal blocks slide horizontally and vertical blocks slide vertically. Pieces keep their original size and orientation.

How is a move counted?

One completed slide of one block counts as one move. Sliding that block several cells in the same direction still counts as one slide.
